Mohammed Al-Shaker is the founder and CEO of ArabiaWeather Inc. He oversees the company’s continuous growth and expansion and is responsible for further developing ArabiaWeather’s comprehensive portfolio of proprietary solutions for businesses and consumers throughout the region.
In 2006, Mohammed founded JordanWeather, a single page application publishing weather forecasts for 25 locations within Jordan. Thanks to its distinctively accurate method of weather forecasting, enabled by innovative algorithms and processes, JordanWeather reached more than 5 million unique visitors per year by 2008. In response to a growing demand for accurate weather reporting for the entire Arab world, Mohammed rebranded his company to ArabiaWeather Inc. in 2011. Since then, backed by proprietary pioneering weather technology, ArabiaWeather has evolved into a leading weather service provider in the Middle East. He led the deploying of weather stations over the Middle East, coupled with regionally adapted algorithms, enhance forecast accuracy and precision, differentiating the company from local weather services and international providers.
In 2013, Mohammed Al-Shaker was named Ernst & Young Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year. Mohammed earned certificates in Advanced Forecasting and Aeronautical Aviation Meteorology from the UK Met Office College, one of the largest international institutes of meteorology. He also holds a bachelor in Pharmacy from Amman Al-Ahliyya University.
